Jim Ries
Jim Ries is a commercial pilot and Certified Flight Instructor (CFI/CFII) with over 2,000 total flight hours and more than 1,000 hours of dual instruction given. With extensive experience in both single- and multi-engine aircraft, Jim combines technical expertise with a passion for helping others succeed in aviation.
As the owner of numerous airplanes over the years, Jim has first-hand knowledge of the aircraft buying, ownership, and management process. That perspective allows him to guide clients with confidence — whether evaluating a pre-buy inspection, managing ongoing ownership responsibilities, or providing instruction in a newly acquired aircraft.
After more than two decades as a successful business owner, Jim launched Tailwind Flight Solutions, LLC to provide professional aviation services tailored to both private individuals and businesses. His offerings include contract pilot services, aircraft ferry and relocation, expert instruction, and guidance in aircraft acquisition and management.
